a question of timing...

Is there an exact timing for everything? ... like the right cooking point, like the moment to jump out of a plane, like the moment to let yourself fall in love...

And if you decide to do it a moment a little too late, well, you just missed that bus, better wait for the next one...

This happens many times over in our lives, sometimes we weren't looking that way when it happened, sometimes you just couldn't decide to go do it.

And then, afterwards, we are left with that feeling of awkwardness, of something left incomplete, a story untold.

It is worse when you're on the other side, though. You're there, waiting to picked up by that somebody that you like, waiting for him to choose you back. But this other person simply does not take a stand with you, and you're left there, waiting...

Until you tire and go someplace else. And then the weird feeling is his.
Because for people to fall in love, it is necessary to have that special feeling of fulfilled antecipation, of reciprocity... that will be the basis for the trust that is so necessary for a happy relationship. If you miss the step, the other falters, the trust is broken, and the dance is off rhythm.

Maybe it was never meant to be, anyway.
